Made in Europe

Die Funktionsjacke Garnera ist aus unserer „Made in Europe“-Kollektion. Wir versuchen immer mehr Produkte, bei denen es Sinn macht, die Produktion und Wertschöpfung nach Europa zu verlagern. Bei diesem Produkt stammt der Stoff aus Italien von Pontetorto®, einer unserer langjährigen Partner. Produziert werden die Teile in Litauen. Was daran so toll ist, erfährst du here.

Recycled polyester

To make the product more sustainable, this jacket is made from recycled polyester. This means that no new oil resources have to be used. Instead old PET bottles, plastic ocean, broken fishing nets and plastic are recycled from landfills are used. After sorting and cleaning, the plastic is crushed into small pieces, melted down and new fibers are spun. These are then processed into yarn and used to manufacture textiles.

The good thing about this fiber: The recycled PET has the same properties as a newly produced fiber. It is quick drying, elastic and breathable. Ideal for functional clothing.

Natural comfort with Merino wool

In order to ensure optimal wearing comfort and the best possible function, we have provided the fabric with a proportion of 34% merino wool. This makes the fleece jacket soft and has an antibacterial effect, which means that the jacket does not smell quickly. 

Fleece

Fleece fabrics are knitted fabrics that are napped. This results in great properties, such as:

• Good thermal insulation with low weight
• Wrinkle-free
• Elastic
• Pleasantly soft
• Fast drying

One disadvantage of fleece is its susceptibility to pilling. These are small nodules that can form over time. They disturb both the appearance and the properties. But like all of our fleece products, this one is also finished with Anti-pilling-equipment .
